Orbion’s Plasma Rocket Thrusters Will Power AST’s New Space-Based Cell Tower

It didn’t take long for a practical application to pop up and take advantage of the breakthrough plasma rocket thrusters developed by Orbion Space Technology of Houghton, Michigan. AST & Science (AST) of Midland, Texas, is planning the launch of its SpaceMobile network, a low-earth-orbit constellation of satellites that will provide cellular coverage for 4G and 5G smartphones, and has selected Orbion’s Aurora propulsion solution to maneuver their spacecraft.
